Post-Press Consumables We Supply
Consumables decide make-ready time and edge quality far more than machine brand. These are the families we stock and cut to order.
- Creasing matrix — fibre-reinforced, channel widths 0.9–2.0 mm and heights 0.3–0.6 mm on 25 m self-adhesive rolls.
- Steel rule — cutting, creasing and perforating rule at 23.8 mm height in 2pt, 3pt and 4pt thickness.
- Ejection rubber — closed-cell profiles from 25 to 45 Shore 00 in strip, block and chamfered shapes.
- Gap filler sponge — 2–6 mm widths for narrow waste channels where a full profile will not fit.
- Hot stamping and embossing dies — CNC-engraved brass, photo-etched magnesium and matched male/female emboss sets.
- Silicone rubber pads and plate mounting tape for curved work and in-register tool fixing.
How to Choose by Board, Rule and Run Length
Specify consumables from the board calliper and the run length. Most crease cracking and blank-lifting problems trace back to a mismatched channel or the wrong rubber hardness.
- Folding boxboard 250–400 gsm — 1.0–1.4 mm channel with 0.4 mm matrix height.
- Heavy board and micro-flute — wider channel plus firm 35–45 Shore 00 ejection rubber.
- Fine detail and long runs — brass dies; short runs and prototypes — magnesium.
- Curved, grained or soft-touch surfaces — silicone pad between die and workpiece.
- Narrow waste areas — 2–4 mm gap filler sponge instead of a standard profile.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Can you cut hot stamping dies from our artwork?
- Yes. Send vector artwork (AI, EPS, PDF or CDR) with the press model and we return a die layout for approval, then ship magnesium dies in 5–7 days or brass dies in 10–15 days with a proof impression.
- How do I choose the creasing matrix channel width?
- Channel width follows board calliper and rule thickness — 1.0–1.4 mm channel with 0.4 mm height covers most 250–400 gsm folding boxboard. Send the board grade and rule height and we ship the matching profile with a fitting chart.
- What is the minimum order for consumables?
- 10 rolls or strips per profile for matrix, rubber, sponge and tape, and a single piece for dies. Free sample kits are available so you can test hardness and channel fit before ordering volume.
