Overview
Some die-board problems are not solved by a softer or harder sponge. Blanks that mark on the reverse, corrugated that crushes at the rule shoulder, waste that sticks in the stripping tool — each has a purpose-made profile. The AP-RS range covers those cases.
The profiles
Arched PVC rubber (75°) gives a firm, curved push where a flat profile cannot reach. Anti-back-pressure strip fits behind the rule to stop the blank being driven back into the tool. Corrugated protection strip spreads load along the rule shoulder so flute crush stays out of the finished box. Air-permeable sponge (35° / 45°) vents trapped air under large flat blanks that would otherwise stick. Cork strip (70°) is the low-mark option next to freshly printed and varnished surfaces.
Fitting
These are corrective profiles — fit them only where the fault is, and keep graded wave sponge as the base ejection across the forme. For channels under 3 mm, use the seam sponge strip.
